International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO)
Hong Kong Training Manual

This International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) Hong Kong Training Manual was developed from the training programmes preparing students for participation in the 5^th and 6^th IJSO. The training programmes were conducted by teaching staff at the Faculty of Science, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. These training programmes are commissioned by the Gifted Education Section of the Education Bureau as advanced learning opportunities for those scientifically gifted students.

Schools can adapt and adopt the curriculum resources in the Training Manual to offer school-based extended learning programmes to nurture scientifically gifted students. Individual students can also make use of the manual as one of the self-study materials in science.
