Particulars of the competition

There are two categories in this competition: the Secondary School Section (for secondary school students) and the Open Section (for tertiary students, the professionals and the public).

Theme of the Design

To bring out the mission of the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education.

Application and Eligibility Criteria

• All secondary schools may arrange for their students to participate in the Secondary School Section.
• Tertiary students, the professionals and the public are eligible to take part in the Open Section.
• All entries, together with the completed entry form, should be returned by post or in person to the Gifted Education Section, EDB, Room E328, East Block, EDB Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre, 19 Suffolk Road, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon.

Adjudication

• Adjudication criteria include: appropriateness of the message, communication of the message, aesthetic appeal and creativity.

Closing Date of Submission

All entries submitted by hand should reach the Gifted Education Section by 6:00 p.m. on 31 October, 2007.

For entries submitted by post, only those with a postal chop dated 31 October or earlier will be accepted.

Announcement of Results

• The results of the competition will be announced on the website of the Gifted Education Section at http://www.edb.gov.hk/cd/ge on 23 November, 2007.
• Winners will be notified individually.
